School versus the Internet

The environment between school and Internet is so big different in circumstance. In 90' peirod, we could say teachers are human beings, but in 21st centry, we could not even say due to that teachers could be COMPUTER SCREENS. That we can say the Internet is big different in audience-centered design. For instance, like this course, we need to log on Internet to learn knowledge by ourselves, not from teachers in class. However, when topics come to verbal/visual/aual learning environments, they are pretty the same because through Internet, we still need to get touched with verbal/visual/aural learning environments. Only the methods are different ways.

The ways in successful Internet learning depend on various situation. First of all, the website must contain abundant informative knowledge to grab. Like learning calculus, in traditional ways, teachers teach on the board with chalk; in Internet, most of time we learn from ourselves by lots of materials with power point, word, or other kinds of softwares. So the more materials it got, the more successful it has.

The question to answer which lesson has yet to learn from the Internet's success. Well, I don't know how to answer that. The thing is the Internet's success might be different to school's success. Teachers and professors are still the most important people in teaching field, the best efficiency by learning from them. Can they be substituted? The answer will be No right now. But next centry, it is hard to say though.

As we can see, the Internet is a tool, we use to tool to get the knowledge we want. Have u noticed that audience of learners can not learn by physical works, such as learn how to play pools for example. If we take course to learn how to play pools, teachers will teach us; conversely, in the Internet, we only can learn by video with explanation, no one will teach you physically, and you have to learn by your own. And that is the one the Internet has not been able to duplicate.
